Tisha B'Av
Tisha B'Av, the ninth day of Av, is the saddest day of the year. Throughout the history of our people, this date has remained a low point in our history. On this day, God decreed that the Jews would wander in the wilderness for forty years, and on this day, the two Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed. Tisha B'Av has become the national day of mourning for all the suffering our people have endured. In addition to commemorating these tragic events, it is also a day of prayer to God, asking for the ultimate redemption through the coming of the Messiah and the rebuilding of the third Temple. Through our sorrow, hope shines through. Ultimately, everything will be restored and made right.
